Editorial Policy

PEM Academy publishes the Personal Essence Methodology (PEM): a structural framework for professional development, together with the assessments, playbooks, and articles built on it. This page explains where that content comes from, what standards it is held to, and how to reach us when something needs correcting.

Who writes the content

All methodology content is written by Volodymyr Zhukov, the founder of PEM Academy. The methodology is the result of 10 years of synthesizing 30 years of practical operating experience through market volatility and crises, and every published chapter, archetype profile, and playbook derives from that single body of work. There are no anonymous or outsourced authors. Content that represents the methodology is either written or directly reviewed by the author before publication.

Research and sources

PEM is grounded in a bibliography of 1,041 scientific sources spanning cognitive psychology, judgment and decision-making, trust theory, network science, behavioral economics, and organizational behavior. Claims about cognitive biases, trust, delegation, and skill development are traceable to peer-reviewed research, and the full bibliography ships with the methodology. Methodology

Where the underlying literature is contested, we keep the contest visible: the bibliography includes critiques of the studies we cite, not only the studies themselves.

Review process

• Every page that represents the methodology is checked against the methodology canon (construct definitions, the Trust Formula, the 22 archetypes) before it ships.
• Factual claims must be attributable to a source in the bibliography or to the author's documented first-hand experience.
• Pages carry a visible "Reviewed by" attribution and a last-updated date where the content is substantive enough to warrant one.

Localization

PEM Academy is published in 52 languages. Translations are not raw machine output: every language goes through a human-reviewed adaptation pass against a locked terminology glossary, so the methodology's constructs keep one precise rendering per language. A locale that has not yet passed review is treated as unfinished, not shipped as final.

Independence

We do not publish sponsored content, paid placements, or advertising. The only products promoted on this site are our own: the methodology, the assessment, the Personal Profile, and the playbooks. Where we reference third-party frameworks (for example in the business playbooks), they are credited by name.

Corrections

If you find a factual error, a broken citation, or a translation that misrepresents the methodology, contact us and we will review it. Corrections that change the meaning of a page are reflected in the page's last-updated date. Contact us
